James,
Are you guys getting hit on the casing and componentry costs or is their a tariff on finished electronic goods exported from Canada into the U.S. that you’re trying to offset?

Hi

We have had increases of almost a 15% in costs of many of the parts we buy from the US suppliers and some in Canada that are US subsidiaries but we are trying to hold the line as best we can.

Thanks for the additional info. I think people will be understanding. Most know a U.S.- Canada trade war is senseless, and this isn’t exactly a “price sensitive” bunch anyway.

Oh man, this hurts.
Still saving for a BDA3, this increase pushes it back even further.
Can’t blame Bryston, everything is going up (except my wages LOL).

Can the increase be beaten by getting an order in before Oct.1?
If so maybe I can convince my wife to let me order it now.
Or maybe the dealer can do a layaway

Hi Rang

Yes any order in house prior to Oct 1 will be at the older price.

Thanks James,

It’s after 1:00am in Ontario, shouldn’t you be asleep? :)

This little price bump has turned out to be a good thing.
Prompted me to get off my a** and actually order the DAC I covet.
Plus, saving a few bucks convinced my wife to give me the green light :)

Edit: perhaps I should say I got the ‘blue light’ because I ordered that option

Will the sudden NAFTA agreement between Canada, US and Mexico change anything on the price increase?

Hi Elizabeth

Not much as the 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium are staying in place.
