Connecting a 370bx-transformer (Cornet)
« on: 15 Apr 2004, 08:38 am »
Hi,
I´m an absolute beginner in tube-amps and have bulit a cornet as my first one. The only thing left is connecting the transformer. I don´t understand the schematics on it. Can anyone please tell how it should be connected to run the preamp at 220 to 240 Volts?
Many thanks and best wishes,
Ralf

Ralf,

According to the Hammond web site the connections are as follows:

220V primary

Line -> Blue/Yellow
Neutral -> White

Connect the Brown to the Black/Red.

All other leads are unused and should be insulated.

240V primary

Line -> Blue
Neutral -> White

Connect the Brown to the Black.

All other leads are unused and should be insulated.

The diagram is located at: http://www.hammondmfg.com/300series.htm - scroll to nearly the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps.

210 or 230V possible also.
