I bought DECWARE full range speakers for home to replace the Von Schweikert VR-1's with the proprietary stands. I brought the VR-1's to my office but there is no way to use the stands there. I have packed the stands and placed them into the original box. I hesitate to sell the stands; definitely don't want to sell the VR-1's; they are the black version, very nice. If I place them into service again in a home setting I would need the stands. I don't think another kind of stand would make them sound as good as they did with the Von stands.
