Thats a nice Mill.

Thank you ralph1950  :D

My new "old" Van Norman milling machine should prove to be more rigid than my old Bridgeport mill and I think that it looks much better  :D

Be well...

Love those closeups. Do you have a macro lens ? Could be great abstract potential in the "ultra close ". Thanks for sharing your shots. :thumb:

Thanks guys.

I used a macro lens and ring flash for those images above.

Moving some of my former "job" photographs around.

Started out as a simple grunt - albeit a closet goth back then  :shh:

Made the transfer to the Airforce as an avionics technician. These were very fun to fly in, except for my first ride as some of the pilots try to make you "spew" in great chunks. He almost got me.

Although not as impressive as an F-18 to fly in, these were very aerobatic and I remember loosing my colour vision when the pilot "surprised" me on this flight. We used to call them the base taxi.

Be well...

Sharp?

I love the sharp focal point with the soft lower section.  Now just need to see a shot of the SP3.

When I talk about sitting on the couch listening to my music for hours on end, here's my partner in crime.

Nice picture of your dog. Excellent white balance.  Try to use fill flash to light up the dogs eyes.

Thanks Levi, solid advice. Perhaps I can practice on a warmer day.  :green:

Lovely composition there Laundrew...if only you had a camera and lens like Levi - but perhaps the graininess is part of the art...well done! :thumb:

 yes, not all of us have the equipment nor the talent but some have more of one or the other and some have all.  Cheers.
