If somebody wanted mono blocs instead of the stereo GFA-585, could it be done?
Specifically, the GFA-565 mono blocs?

Sure. The mods are similar. I would have to reverse-engineer it a bit first. The first one of each type usually costs a bit less, since the customer is taking a risk. It also takes me a bit longer to do the mods as I will probably have to order parts for it. Amplifier mods generally cost between $1500 and $2000. Since this is just the 585 split into two boxes, there will be a bit more work than a single box, but not too much. It may be 25-50% more than the 585 mods for the 565 monoblocks (~2500-$3000). After I dug into it, I could give you a better estimate.
