Remastered 1989 Phil DeLancie OJC-347
Excellent reissue, sounds wonderful you don't even realize it is mono until half way through the first song.
This recording sounds dead quiet played back with an AT 440ML, it appears to be a brand new record with no wear or dirt that I bought at CAF 2013.

This isn't the album I'm nuts over- that one I couldn't find on Amazon- but the good news is that she recorded lots of live albums and one side of the above features tracks that were laid down live in a club somewhere in 1958 that should make for an illuminating experience of jazz vocalizing in that time.  The one I own and treasure is named Live at the City and according to the liner notes, "No attempt has been made to approximate studio conditions.  This is purely live, as close as you can get to have actually been in the room that night".  She talks to the audience and goofs with the band and I expect this isn't unique to the album I have.  Most everything of hers available on Amazon is a live recording.  I think it was her preferred way to record.

For some reason, a bunch of her albums have been re-released in recent years and that's good news cause you should get one and get illuminated!  You can thank me later.

Nice Jim.
I love all of my AO recordings: This Is Anita, Pick Yourself Up, Sings the Most, Sings the Winners, Swings Cole Porter, Cool Heat, Swings Rodgers and Hart, Waiter Make Mine Blues, Trav'lin' Light, Time for Two, and DVD The Life of a Jazz Singer. Once in a while I'l play every one of her CDs back-to-back for an very enjoyable day of O'Day. I'll keep my eyes open for Live at the City. Thanks!

Dannyboy, I had no idea that you have such sophisticated tastes!  Even the liner notes by jazz writer Nat Hentoff are special on this.  He compares her with Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday, Betty Carter, Carman McRae and Ella.  And, as live recordings go, I think the book may have been written right here.  I mean this bad boy is alive!   Recommend one for us.

Come to think of it, tho, didn't we discuss a little Jane Siberry awhile back?
