Let’s Active - Cypress / Afoot
We both have a lot of weird and obscure music connections. This being one of them. The Sadies a few nights ago as another example. I found a near mint copy of this album in a downtown Houston Half Price Books location about 8 years ago, in the clearance bin of all places. I stored it for about a year before cleaning it, putting it in a new case and adding it to my collection. Only when I was doing this did I realize it was Mitch Easter! I honestly didn't know at the time that he had been in a band. I just thought that somehow he was lucky enough to be an in-demand record producer. Lol! Anyway, it's a good album with just a few misses. Thanks for the memory!
That’s funny. I remember buying Let’s Active at a Half Price books in IL. I agree, there’s good tunes on it. I also remember buying dA dA dA by Nits at a super dusty sneeze fest record store in Houston near Gilley’s. That was unforgettable because I had to negotiate price with the owner. The old guy had five copies that were cutouts and beat to crap but still wanted twenty bucks for one. I think I paid ten bucks and took it home only to put it away and forget I had it. You’re posts a few years ago about Nits jogged my memory. They’re also a great lesser known band here in the States.
Nits - Angst (2017)And now that they're stuck in my head..... Samples
