Political comment.

Whether intentional or accidental the post title is, unfortunately, a bit of an opening for that in these troubled times.

I don't agree. This is America. We have the First Amendment right to poke fun at other countries. They do it to us and we can take it on the chin. So, all is fair in love and war.

There is a time and a place. It isn't the place to bash Presidents at an award show when it is supposed to be about celebrating the art they perform. It's not really the place to get deep into politics on a audio forum (unless there is an Off Topic section), but I can't believe we can't tell the difference between political talk and a joke. And, quite frankly, if we can't even joke about things, then we might as well be living in a Socialistic, Communistic country. Not allowed to have fun. Cooler. Eight weeks.

On a side note, my parents used to have a Grundig stereo cabinet that I always wanted. Of course, they cut off the lower section so my dad had a radio in the garage and it eventually got zapped by lightning.

It was the US comment as I agree with what you say. Of course the OP was joking and that was funny. :thumb:

We shouldn't be making fun of America because this is the place to be. Audio Circle is hosted here.

I wouldn't want to be in Japan. Constant worry that a giant lizard will destroy everything. I just hope the Prius factory is destroyed.

I was going to correct him on that but once you start, where do you stop? He gets just about everything wrong.

Most people who post here are American. Most vendors that are a (financially) part of this forum are American in some fashion. Most events we talk about are in America. Most member meets are in America (notice the multiple U.S. region section).

We Americans thank him for this forum. We know it's hard work.

Two things....

I dont consider this an American or Aussie site......its, in my mind an audio site.

Second.....the place to be??.......As a Canadian with all the good and very little of your bad......I think the place to be is just
north of where your sitting.... :thumb:

No problem with that. It's a great audio site. If it wasn't great, we wouldn't be here. But, we Americans have a strong foothold on this site.

Whitese, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. It certainly looks like a fantastic, and hip, combination. Wish I could hear it. Enjoy and have fun ... and it definitely looks like fun.

God bless,

Gotta disagree with you here - in many, many, many ways this is by far the best time to be alive in all history.
