Those are the OB line array speakers that Danny, Gary and I tried the dspMusik digital crossover on, at his place, after Danny's original measurements.

Looks like a great meeting!

I recognize one of them but didn't know he was a fan of GR-Research.

Fellows,

To the left is designer Igor Levitsky. Igor is the designer of the BG planar magnetic drivers. They use his patiented technology.

In the middle is Pablo Tobiano. He is the owner of the Dia-ichi facility in the Philippines. His factory developed the methods of production and assembly of the BG drivers and his factory has made all of them from the beginning.

All of the great speakers that I have designed using the BG planar magnetic drivers would have never existed if it weren't for these two people.

And we had a great time listening to the Serenity Acoustics open baffle line source. Igor says this system was the best that he has ever heard. He says no speaker out there and any price point can compete with these speakers. Nothing can do what they do.

And I agree.  :green:

Wow, cool.

Does this indicate some headway being made in the supply of drivers?

This is purely conjecture on my part, but I envision they will create new planar magnetic drivers that are as good - if not better - than the BG tweeters and mids.

Then, in the not too distant future, Danny will announce new lines of speakers or revamped versions of his old standbys.

I'm not surprised. They are that good. I'm lucky to have heard them.

THAT'S how you handle "issues" that come up. "You want to quit making my drivers, I'll get the guy that designed them and the factory that built them and start my own production!"  8)

I was there when S Clark heard them as well.  Hard to go back to different speakers after that listening session!

Hope this works out for new planar drivers!

Were the drivers in the Serenity OB Line Source custom made, or old stock Neo's? (If you are allowed to comment)

Will these ever see the light of a DIY bench? Not so sure these would ever look like a production speaker??
