Hey!

I've never seen those before. Interesting.

Or we are just getting old?

Anyway, to me anything 30 years old+ can be consider vintage. I know some would say 25 or 40.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

They're the midrange modules compact speakers that were sourced from Braun. These had metal enclosures, a 4" woofer, and a 1" dome tweeter. They flank an electrostatic high-frequency module operating above 5kHz.

The system also included an electronic crossover and an equalizer.

Wilson Audio is celebrating their 40th Year Anniversary.

Here's a current picture Dave and his wife.

I had those Brauns mounted on pedestals on the back deck of my Datsun 510. NOBODY had anything in their car like that at the time. I was ahead of my time. Now I'm behind. Way behind.

Hi FULLRANGEMAN.
I would call them ugly, but they are odd and/or bizarre looking.
How many times I read comments from Danny Ritchie
saying the drivers should be as close as possible together.
With that set up the drivers are spread over a range of 6 feet.
Is that a good design? I think not !

There is plenty of PA speakers more good looking than these, even Cerwin-Vega or Carvin.

Hi Guy 13,

I guess she heard you, and thought about putting it some place safer...

Hi all.
Putting like that a vinyl on the floor will need a serious
(Clean Spin) vinyl washing machine which I just happen to have,
therefore if someone is kind enough the give me the phone number
of that careless lady, I will contact her in offer her my cleaning services...
in exchange of... Well, use your imagination.
Thanks

I couldn't agree more. I think those speakers are uber-cool looking.
How do they sound ?? Well that's another question entirely.

Wait, there are more some big enclousures behind the bush, I had not seen before, unbelievable bad taste.
But the hairdo of Mr.Wilson are cool really.

Since you're so interested, here another pictures of the WAMM so you can get a better look at the subwoofer:
