Anyone in the San Diego area have a Nimbus White I could audition? I have a pair of Stiff Breeze's and would like to move up the food chain.

We just shipped a pair to San Diego last week.  Let him get set up and dialed in with his room and I'd bet he'd be glad to have you over.

Don,
What are the subs that you're using with the Stiff Breeze?
Best,

Here's a shot of the new San Diego owner's Nimbus White in piano black.

Don,
What are the subs that you're using with the Stiff Breeze?

I built the subs using Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Reference HO 4ohm subwoofers in 1.5cu sealed cabinets with exterior mounted subwoofer plate amplifiers. These were designed for music and not home theater. I veneered the cabinets in chary to match the Stiff Breezes.

Don,
As a Stiff Breeze owner, I'm curious to know more about how the SQ of your set-up of SBs w/subs will compare to the Nimbus. It seems, and I'm hoping that it is the case, that the sq would be favorably comparable and I look forward to your future posts about the differences and similarities.
My thanks in advance,
KP

I notice from your pictures that you keep your SBs at a modest spread with virtually no toe in.  Is that how you find they perform their best?  I'm presently awaiting a customized pair of stiffies and am quite curious...

The speakers are only about eight feet apart in my small room, and my listening position is twelve feet back.
To me, sonically, this is the arrangement.

About the same as mine except mine are only three feet off the back wall and three of the side walls,  with no subs and no toe-in needed. Of course, all rooms are different.
