You have $500 lying around to purchase one or the other, why not put the other $500 on a credit card which would probably only cost you $10 or so in interest charges?
You're not likely to find too many people who have compared the two, and even if you were to find one or two who have, it often comes down to a personal preference of sound presentation, particularly when comparing two DACs in the same price range.
Of course, that's even if Peachtree has a trial policy. Like jtwrace found, there is no information about that or even the warranty period on the website.
