Just got back, and would have loved to have "dropped in", but was taking my daughter out to see some schools (Parsons, F.I.T., and Pratt) and time was rather tight.

If she ends up going to school aout there, I will certainly be visiting, and I'll pop in and check out the system

My son put in two years at F.I.T. , and two years at SVA (School of Visual Arts, NYC). His major was Art (painter). He's now an art teacher for the NYC Board of Education.[/list:u]

These were "informal" (to tell you what to work on) portfolio reviews.  She was quite happy that Pratt "passed" her, on the spot, during the informal

Maybe she'll start a clothing company called DCNY (Devin Casler/New York) and I can retire

What I know about F.I.T. - lots of connections with designers if your a student there. Check out the list of former students....big names in fashion. Good luck !! [/list:u]
