Good afternoon from Montreal
« on: 28 Nov 2021, 07:35 pm »
Hello everyone,
I am from Montreal, Canada, and I'm joining today to help create an audio setup in my kitchen/living room, for both easy bluetooth listening and vinyl discs.
For the moment I have two audio setups which consist of a Klipsch/Onkyo home theater and an old Mitsubishi amp with a Technics turntable for my vynil and music setup, which where given by my dad.
My favorite kind of music is 90's hip-hop, including french rap of this era and electronic music like Daft punk, but I really like discovering 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's classics too.

My project will look like this:
A new amp for both my turntable and bluetooth streaming. I will also use it with high quality earphones sometimes.
4 embedded speakers, although I might go for bookshelf speakers if everyone hates embedded in here :)
The area is roughly 18x22, with 8ft ceiling
I will probably go with a midrange budget, as I am not an expert or perfectionnist, but I do not want to change the setup in a few years because it underperforms.
Cheers!

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Bienvenue!

Please explain what you mean by embedded speakers.  Are you referencing built-in (in wall) loudspeakers?  And please clarify what you mean by midrange budget (that has a wide range of meanings around here).
