Cornfushion over the HD AVx Series . . .

It seems like a few years ago these same units were on clearance for about $700.  Some of the new specs look the same.  Have the clearance units been pulled out of the barn and put back in the showroom?  Maybe I should have bought one then.

The problem with this product is the outdated hdmi and surround sound specs. In my opinion I would drop all the surround modes, make its hdmi relevant (4k, hdr10, dolby vision ect ect)

I think there is a market for two channel amplifiers that can  switch hdmi.

I am waiting for the next sale on the onkyo tx 8270 as it will do what I need and my wife does not care what you system sounds like :)
