SOLD GR Research NX Studios SOLD
« on: 5 Oct 2023, 02:39 pm »
Selling my NX Studios

Why? I want to fund a new project of full OB speakers.

How much? SOLD $1500

Discription

Cabinets. I assembled these about about a year and a half ago. I had roundovers added to the top and bottem of the front baffle. Assembled with Titebond 3 and clamps. I had no power tools so hand assembled. Painted with DuraTex.

External crossovers. Copper Foil inductors. Expensive at the time of build and would be very expensive now if you could even get them. Path Copper resistors and Sonicap caps, with Miflex bypass caps. I used silver solder on all joints. Designed to easily up grade parts if you wanted to.
Stands. Monolith 28 Inch speaker stands. Filled with nontoxic damping floor absorbent material.

Thanks for looking,
Wayne

What did they sell for? Rules are you have to list the price it sold for.

???  https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=454.0   - they need an asking price which the ad has as well as modifying the ad to mark as sold.  The seller followed the guidelines.

You can see that the ad was modified after my post. Previously, the ad just stated "How much? SOLD"
I am curious about these speakers so I wanted to see the going price on them.

The point being missed it is not a requirement to list what items sold for.  You can of course PM the seller.  You can also go to hifishark.com and look at sold listings (and filter by region) - e.g. https://www.hifishark.com/search?q=gr+research     Most of the websites I've seen (and I've sold lots of things) don't require the seller to modify the ad to say what the items actually sold for.  US Audio Mart requests (but does not require) that a seller indicates the username sold to and the actual sales amount.  There's also things like - https://www.audiogon.com/bluebook   There may be members here who subscribe who would be willing to let you know the Blue Book price.

The asking price was indicated and not removed - $1,500 - https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=187206.0   The asking price is not supposed to be erased.  Did you not see the ad before the item was indicated as sold?  The asking price of $1,500 was in the original ad and has not been removed.  Again, there is no requirement to modify the ad and update the asking price to the actual price the item was sold in the modification to indicate the item was sold.
