I thought the same thing. With Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Dayton etc Indy would be a fine place.

The people that do most of the work to put on the show live near Detroit. I can't see that they'd be motivated to move the show to another city like Indy. It's got to be a major pain as is, let alone if they had to do everything long distance.
