Jim Salk started a topic "Name the Beast/HT4", and the gallery turned that into a 21 page thread, until he cried "Enough"!

I warned you, Tommy!

Except that there is no woofer dustcap on an amplifier.

Ooops - I thought it was integrated with the sub itself. Then just emblazon it on the top cover (I love simple solutions).

I like this thread! How about:

B-2 or B-52
The Drop or Cherry Drop
Infrasonic
Microseism (a faint earth tremor caused by natural phenomena, such as winds and ocean waves)
Profundo
Timpano (or Timpani if stereo bass amp)
 Ride

I also like Cherry Bomb or Cherry Bass...

Keep the Cherry theme, Tommy. Even DA4800A has been quite off the line.

How about "Cherry Diver"? I like Cherry Bomb too.

How about short list some names and start a vote?

You're not Cherry Amplifier company, your Digital Amplifier Company, I think it's good to have a theme, but to many amps with the same name is no good. How about a "Plum"? "Plum the depths of your sound". Still a stone fruit, so staying in the same vein, but a different fruit to help differentiate it as a product from the "Cherry".

Plumb the depths of your sound?   Steve

Well, I was going for the homonym between Plum (fruit) and Plumb (measuring depth).
I suppose the tag line could be...   "Plumb the depths of your sound with our Plum amplifier".

Like "Cherry", "Plum" connotes good-stuff...

–adjective
11. extremely desirable, rewarding, profitable, or the like: a plum job in the foreign service.

and like a cherry, a plum is a stone fruit.

So with "Plum" we've got a good play on words for a bass amp, and a name that stays in-line with, yet sufficiently differentiates itself from, established models.

Famous quote from my son when was 3 and eating a cherry:

"Why do they put them darn nuts in 'em"

OK back to the sub amp- Tommy, what makes this sub amp a sub amp?

I'd love to see one of your amps w/ a level control/adjustable low pass/ maybe parametric eq - The goodies one usually thinks of for sub amps.
