I am in possession of some sonicap platinum bypass caps (thanks Stephen
) that I am going to utilize in my piano rosewood strata minis (av123 vintage) along with a complete cap upgrade. I have decided to keep the minis and pair them up with a vertical N3S along with my AV-1RS surrounds. The AV-1RS I did in a dark stained birch that matches my floors, but the N3S I want to match to the piano rosewood on the minis. I know I won't be able to do the high gloss finish myself, but does anyone have a suggestion on a stain to match the rosewood color? I am thinking that I will veneer and stain it and then take it in somewhere or send it off for the final finish.
