Asking for a friend. (Actually asking for one of my alternate multiple personalities, the one that is addicted to multiple hard copy backups. :) )

Is HDTracks going strictly to streaming or is this in addition to what they already offer?

So far they seem to adding the streaming to their existing offerings.
Time will tell if the long term model gets rid of hi-res downloads.

Was this announced in a email?

.
There was just a PR blurb. The actual streaming service is apparently at least a few months off. They didn't give any details.
Is it going to be a full service - competitor to Tidal and Spotify? Hi-res streaming? Will users who buy tracks from HDT be able to stream them for "free"?
