NuForce Focused Field Cable Technology
« on: 29 Apr 2009, 12:48 pm »
We will be publishing some preliminary information in a week or two.  You should know that we don't overstate our claim.
Our own audiophile and the keeper of the flame of Nuforce sound quality, Casey, said to me after evaluating them for the past few days:
"I can never go back to normal cable again"

We use top of the line 6-nines OFHC copper, normally found only in very expensive cables costing > $1K
Top of the line spec, material with break through technology at very reasonable price
Most of you probably don't need to save up to buy the entire set of cables :)
A full line of interconnect, speaker cable, coaxial, optical and HDMI will be available. Even the HDMI cable has the best spec (14 GhZ) you can find on the market.

Sounds like a great deal. It would also be for the icon+s1 also?

Focused Field cables offer the following benefits:

- A wider, deeper, richly dimensioned soundstage.
- Extended, exquisitely detailed yet natural-sounding highs.
- Deeper, consistently tuneful bass.
- From micro to macro, a wide and dramatic dynamic range.
- A consistently warm and inviting sonic palette.

Speaker Cable SC-700
Multi-layered, “sandwich” construction and superior shielding significantly reduce interactions with the magnetic fields of associated equipment. The SC-700’s low-impedance design likewise diminishes interactions with variations in speaker impedance, particularly those of the tweeter and crossover, resulting in crisper, more energetic transients, extends and effortless highs.
The SC-700 is offered with standard and bi-wire banana terminations, bi-wire Speakon terminations. Spade lugs on request.
Spec: OFHC Copper, PEX dielectrics, Si-Insulators, Gold Bananas

The IC-700 Interconnect
Like the SC-700 Speaker Cable, the IC-700 Interconnect features Focused Field design, implemented with a hollow-core conductor for maximum skin surface and conductor proximity. The IC-700’s low-loss dielectric permits extended highs with minimal signal degradation and dielectric interaction. The double-layered shield, consisting of copper braid and copper foil, offers the highest degree of signal isolation across the frequency spectrum. And, like our speaker cable, the IC-700 features OFHC copper for the smooth signal transmission via a virtually flawless, grain-free conductor.
The IC-700 Interconnect is available with RCA or Neutrik XLR terminations.
Spec: OFHC Copper, PEX dielectrics, 95% OFC Braid, 24Gold connectors.

We have never insisted that customers buy matching Nuforce products, but the benefits from these cables on the amps are so apparent that we will consider them as "must have" products if you're going to use the amp.  The good news is that they are very affordable.

We will prepare a lot of cables for auditioning and feel free to compare the Focused Field cables with whatever you have.  Be ready for a surprise.

Estimated volume ship date is early July.  A few people might get to try them out in the coming weeks.

I look forward to the new interconnects. Will they be available through your dealers in the UK?

I'm new here in this forum.I'm a recently and proud owner of  an AVP17 proc./preamp and MCH3-SE-C7 amp. I'm looking forward to hear from user experiance other than Nuforce associates, about the new Nuforce speaker cables and interlinks.I read from Nuforce-Jason that the speaker cables wil be available in sets between 2 and 3 meters. For many surround installations these  will not cover the distance to the rear channels of their surround setupp. Would Nuforce be able to supply greater lengths ? In my case i would need 7.5 meter runs for the rear channel speakers.

Thomas.

I would also be interested in hearing more about measurement data (since low-loss and low-impedance were specifically noted as features).

I'd be interested in auditioning a 1.5 meter bi-wire set against my Cardas Hexlink Golden 5-C's.

I'll happily trust my ears for any claims regarding how a product sounds, but I'll only trust measurements on claims regarding how a cable measures.  :)
