Title: 'Movie' audio gear
Post by: Kenneth Patchen on 22 Sep 2016, 01:06 am
I find myself trying to identify - sometimes unsucessfully - audio gear in movies.

What are the speakers behind Gene Hackman's chatacter in The Conversation ? Since the Hackman character is an audio/tech wiz and a music lover, one would suspect he had top of the line gear. Any idea as to the tube amp?

I thought Harry was the kind of guy who would build his own gear.  Speakers look like DIY....maybe Altec.  You will find some Altec tweeters in his workshop.

I googled images of "vintage kit mono tube amp" looking for Heathkit,  Knight, etc.  That'swhere I found the Bell 220C.
