Title: Using Internet Radio
Post by: Ferdi on 16 Jan 2003, 10:33 pm
Hi, I've recently gotten an ADSL connection and it works great for all the regular things you may want to do with an Internet connected PC.

One thing I stumbled on tonight was the Internet Radio function in iTunes in OSX. Boy, that's a lot of radio-stations and the quality was quite acceptable. I only looked around briefly but quickly found a few interesting stations.

I have a Powerbook G3 that's easy to hook up to the main system and it sounded quite good. A bit fuzzy compared to CD but musical and enjoyable.

Does anyone else listen to these and what do you listen to?

I listen to Allston Brighton Free Radio (Allston-Brighton being a part of Boston) at (see below) except for when I'm there.  Actually I don't listen that often...but...:)

Hi Mediaseth, I'll give that a listen as well. I am almost sorry I sold my iMac. That would have made a nice dedicated Internet radio. It was a D type though and that still has a noisy fan.
