Title: Elrog 211 tubes
Post by: jostber on 14 Jul 2014, 02:42 pm
I have just got some Elrog 211 tubes for my Transcription Audio SET amp. These tubes are much wider that the GE 211s I have used in this amp until now, and so the Hal-O III-55 dampers I have for the GEs do not fit these ones. Which dampers will fit the Elrogs?

Both UltraSonic Rx-65 and HAL-O III-65 fit the larger 211 tubes. You can most likely bend the size 55 titanium C-rings open a bit to accommodate the larger diameter, though. So long as the dampers go at least halfway around the widest part of the bulb they'll work perfectly well.

Thanks! I will check out the 55 C-rings or if I have to get some larger ones.

FYI. The 55 dampers worked nicely here.
