Thanks Gary!  These have exceeded my expectations in more than a couple of areas so far. I'm pretty pleased.

Here's my mini Jordans (really early Mark Audios I believe) with bass bins. The are driven by a big old stand alone sub amp.

You know I've thought about it, but haven't pulled the trigger.  It's that much of an improvement?

An old vacuum tube works well as a phase plug.

Not really... all those grids & plates & wires rattling around.

Are dual concentrics allowed? I dunno. I see lots of whizzer cones so...

Here's my 15" Tannoy Golds:

it's probably the separate voice coil and XO network (as opposed to contour / notch filtering sometimes employed in "single driver" systems) that would be the line in the sand,  but none the less, gorgeous vintages boxes those

i know i have posted pics of these on this forum, but not in this thread.  there are decware modded fostex fe206e's in oris 150 horns.  300hz on up. from 80-300hz, are 15" fostex pro-audio woofers stuck inside modified klipsch lascala bass-bins.  below 80hz are a pair of wintage megawoofer'd vmps larger subs.  several low-power tube amp choices on the oris' - almarro a205a mkll, akai m8 r-2-r tapedeck amps, wintage electorhome amp, and two custom home-brew amps, one w/6v6, the other w/el84's.  the lascala's get either a ~25wpc gainclone or a ucd180 amp.  the subs get a pair of electrocompaniet aw75dmb's...  x-over is deqx 2.6 pdc.  (the tad/pioneer ribbon tweet shown in the pics has never been used w/this system.)

BLH with Fostex Fe207E. Thinking about adding Heil AMTs to help with the upper frequency range.
Or maybe I will bypass this step and build a new BLH but with the Lowther PM5.
