I am the original owner of a very pristine 9000ES. I put it in it's original box and put it in the closet a few years ago when I purchased an Oppo. I think at one time MW was modifying these units. Is that still happening? Not sure if I want to get it Modded and use it for CD/SACD playback or to put it up for sale. Looks like there is still somewhat of a market for them. Any information on the Modifications would be greatly appreciated!

I had mine modded by Dan Wright.
It was quite nice (but not as good as the Oppo or Pioneer Mods).
I would pass on the mod as the laser or control circuits will likely give out after a few years.
There are NO replacement parts available!
