I hadn't noticed that in the manual, and will ask BMC to correct it ... but I've put 24/192 through the SPDIF and it has played, and displayed as 192 on the front panel. 

Perfect, thank you! It didn't make sense to me that it wouldn't accept 24/192.

Last question...is it available in black?

If one was to use the DAC as a preamp, how would you hook up a turntable. I dont see any analog bypass?

You can't, it's only a digital line level preamp.  You will need a separate phono preamp.

24/96 limit got it  I'm surprised they limited it like that . The backwards remote    BMC replied that they will be making a new remote for the Pure Dac

Yeah, me too.  Don't really understand it, considering even mini- and micro-DACs have higher rates, while a few even does DSD, like the iFi stuff that I'm about to finish reviewing.

No, the nano iDSD.  The micro version just came out and another Dagogo reviewer will be doing that one.
