:D HELLO all audio dudes.... just wondering if a VAC 300.1 amp is still a well respected amp in the sea of new products that blow away value for dollars....i have a big SS amp right now and would love to get back to tubes....there is one on the Gon for 1/2 price.....any help thanks much.... :D :D :D :D

Definitely a solid amp based on personal experience. Whether or not it's worthy of your dollars or considered a value is up to you, although $9K for a clean VAC 300.1 is the best I've seen advertised.
i have a big SS amp right now and would love to get back to tubes.
If you're used to big SS power, I'd take into consideration whether a single Phi 300.1 can drive your speakers adequately. One might be enough for simpler pieces, but to drive a tougher load you might require two. Such is the case with mine which has me re-evaluating my options (but that's half the fun).
