Looks like they are missing the plastic port flanges.  If that is all it is, you can easily replace those for not a lot of money.  Maybe Louis, but they are generally available.

The driver on the left looks dirty, if not damaged... Look at that top edge.

The drivers in mine still look pristine after 5 years of daily use.
(I let them sleep with the grilles on and remove them for listening.) Need better pictures.

Without a price it's hard to say if this would be a good deal.

I would pony up the extra $350 for a pair of new ones. If they were like $500-600 maybe.

15 months ago I sold my Super 7 XRS mk2 for about that price, and they are higher up the chain.

And a quick look at HifiShark.com tells you that asking prices for these are typically in the 450 to 600 dollar range, and even as cheap as 300!

Those are old drivers too, but the veneer is nice if in good shape.

New drivers might be ~$200 so I'd say ~$350 for the speakers is about right if the veneer is near perfect, as they also need new ports.

When Dave says “old drivers” he is referring to the old hempcone driver which has been replaced by the far superior RS5 driver.  Those are hempcones in the picture.
