You have to google the argument in japanese language:
 Stax SR-44オーナーマニュアル
in Japanese sites, the manual will be in Kenji too.

Tried that also and lots of auctions and the Stax site itself of course but still no one with the owners manual like I had with my lst, brand new set back in the day when these were brand new...

Yep, sent an email off to them the other day, we shall see.....should have just kept my original set with box/manual but then a divorce...

Just curious - why do you want the owner's manual if you don't have a pair?

I bought these new, probably more than 35 years ago and have hauled them around ever since.  They don't get much use, so I could probably be persuaded to part with them.  But I'd need to hook them up first to make sure they're still working.

I do have a pair but no box or owners manual...had a pair brand new many years ago.  Have wanted a set of phones for a bit but no headphone jack in any of my gear so this is a great way to get a jack for the phones and have superb sound also....I like to have owners manuals for all my gear---guess its a phobia or something
