Adding a phono stage to 36.5 ?
« on: 27 Aug 2010, 11:02 pm »
A friend who has the 36.5 PreAmp has decided to add a turntable to his world and has been searching for a phono amp. I said hold on............. Is there an option that allows for a phono amp stage to be added to the existing preamp?  What is the cost?
Thanks!

I haven't heard of one for the LS36.5

But... the Modwright SWP9.0SE is a killer phono stage, and likely better than any built in phono stage

I use this combo myself and it is exceptional.

We DO have a phono upgrade for the LS 100 ($3295 retail for preamp alone) and upgrade cost is to be $750.  It is user-installable, as it fits on two 20-pin headers on LS 100 board.  There is a cover plate to be removed where leaded RCA's are screwed in place, as well as ground Lug, in one of the threaded holes that the cover plate is mounted through.

This design is being finalized and will be available VERY soon.  The phono upgrade design was based on the SWP 9.0SE design.  It was simplified in some ways and upgraded in others.  It is an EXCEPTIONAL phono upgrade for the HOT SELLING LS 100 preamp.

Thanks!
