The ancient Battlestar Galactica was awful, horrible, garbage.  A bad children's show with terrible writing and crappy production values.  The new BG was much better, a little uneven at times, but at least watchable.

There is nothing wrong with old Battlestar.  New Battlestar just shows that Hollywood can't come up with their own ideas.

And when they do, it's stupid or horrible. There are very few things I would even consider to watch this day in age.

+2. With one caveat of judgement of the original BG should be done with 1978 eyes. By this I mean watching BG was better then watching B.J. and the Bear. Point being, TV in 1978 was pretty bad, but its all we had.
