Somewhat related question to the T-amp power supple thread below.  I thought I should start another thread given the devices are different.

I am interested in "quiet" linear regulated ps for my home network appliances.  By "quiet", I'm thinking of minimal digital noise, ripple, emi/rfi.

Referencing the T-Amp recommendations, are these same products being recommended along those performance lines?

I recognize the Jameco and Pyramid and older references to Aacopian, but see a number of others that look like traditional lap top switching (noisey) power supply bricks.  Are these (later) all known to be quiet?

All my appliances are fairly minimal loads;
Cable Modem   12 VDC   0.75 Amps
mini ITX FW/Router   12 VDC   6.5 Amps
Cisco Switch   12 VDC   1.0 Amps

I've read some manufacturers are starting to use "quiet" switching power supply and I would be very interested in those if they exist for this application.

Is there a criteria to review to qualify a "quiet" ps?  some noise or ripple measurement?

Thanks
