The new Platinum 3205 amplifier will fall under our Musica Bella/Bella EXtreme product line. The Platinum 3205 will primarily be straight power amps and will utilize SoniCap Platinum Teflon coupling and PS bypass capacitors. Volume controls will be available as an additional option.
 I have chosen to go as straight power amps due to the fact that these amplifiers can only sound their best with an active linestage in front of them.
 Face plates will be 1/2" Cherry or Black Walnut. Aluminum face plates of silver or black are also available. Power switch is located on the side of the chassis. Blue LED.
 All other features similar to our Reference Jolida 3205 except B+ Bybees will be optional.
 Below are a few examples of these amps prior to finishing of the face plates which will all be laser engraved. This first picture is the Platinum 3205 that can be auditioned in the Bolder Cable room at next months RMAF. Room 1009. It's face plate will be done next week along with the rest of the batch.

Hey Bill,

The 'stock' amplifiers (integrated version) have an input sensitivity of around 500mv (or 1/2 v). Do the power-amp versions change the gain and/or sensitivity in order to be used with a separate pre-amp?

Hi wee,
 Not at all. The only thing that is added is a simple attenuation circuit (voltage divider) at the input signal to allow for better matching of most tube preamps. Without it, you get far too much initial gain and unable to appreciate the potential of either the amp of preamp being used. Input sensitivity and impedance remains the same.
