BP25/26 MPS-2 12v output
« on: 27 Jan 2019, 02:08 pm »
I have not really understand what the 12v output is used for, the BP26 amp is driven by +-37v but what is +12v used for:
 internal DAC? phonostage?
and if you do not have this extras, does the BP26 really use the +12v?

Hi

The 12Volts is to provide 12 volts to the 12V inputs on other products so that the other product turns on when you turn on the BP-26.

The 12Volts is not used for any internal functions in the BP-26.

thanx james,
just to be sure we talk about the same "+12v"

I talk about the 12 volt from the MPS-2 via the power cable to BP26. MPS-2 feeds BP26 with +-37volt and +12v (via its power connection cable).

I think I read somewhere that the 12v is used for an internal DAC, if you have one, in the BP26.  Is that correct?
Is it used for anything else? Phono stage for example?
