Thumbnail for Mains Crossover - Crossover for twin Lambda 12TDs, twin Scan Speak mids, and HI VI Research tweet
Thumbnail for Center Speaker Crossover - Latest center speaker crossover design using the new offering of the Jantzen Cross-Cap capacitors from Parts Express. I'm running a pair of twin Davis 16 Kevlar drivers, Morel MDM 55 midrange, and the HI VI Research tweet.
Thumbnail for Mains with Lambda drivers - Here are the mains referred to in the previous crossover design explanation. 5' tall with twin Lambda 12TDs drivers, twin Scan Speak mids, and the HI VI research tweet and 4 Eminence passive radiators in each of the lower Lambda cabinets. How bout a lower cabinet tuning frequency of 23 hz. Incredible musical reproduction!
Thumbnail for Twin Stacked Sound Splinter subwoofers - 5 cube subwoofer cabinets 1.25" thick, 235 lbs each, stacked or colocated for best performance, and each subwoofer is driven by a separate QSC 1450 amplifier. I've also incorporated 4 15" AE Speakers passive radiators I've loaded to 1800 grams each in each cabinet with an fs rating of 4.9. Tuning frequency is 20hz on paper plus extended bass from passives and room gain. Extremly clean, low bass output at low and high listening levels. Bass management is from a German built Reckhorn B-1 for fine tuning.
Thumbnail for Finished system - What you can't see in this picture are the twin B & W DM 303s for the center backs and the Bang and Olufsen Redline 60's I've modified and mounted in parallel with the Polk in ceiling RC 85-I surrounds. A true movie and musical reproduction at its finest. 16-15" passive radiators in the mains and subs, and 4 more smaller Tymphany passives in my modified Bang and Olufsen RL 60 surrounds.
