I was clawing through a drawer and came across the Ripper that I built many moons ago. Just for fun I hooked the S/PDIF output
to my DAC, but got no sound from my DAC. Solder joints are good. All the correct parts are populated. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Tap on it with a plastic spoon. :green:

Are you feeding it a USB signal? The SPDIF output (which was optional) comes only from the USB decoder chip.

Darn, I knew I shouldn't have thrown away that plastic spoon. :icon_lol:
Thanks, Jim for the info. I thought that the S/PDIF out was functional with the phono input. :duh:

It might be if you select "digital" mode on the front switch. I forget how that chip works...
