Hi, I'm looking for some of the thingies circled in the photo.
Not sure what these are called. They are inserted into a hole and creates a nice recessed anchor point for a screw.
I have googled but so far no luck.
Need them for some wood sides panels for some of my gear like those in the photo.

Any help would be appreciated..

Threaded inserts?  T-nuts?  Could you describe them better?  If possible take one to a good old-fashioned hardware.

Hey Jeff,
They are cup shaped with a through hole.
Screw size is odd/Japanese. Measures over thread .151  in and screw head diameter of .323
Through hole size in the photo is .265. Pocket inside diameter is.503 and .188 deep.
Making new side panels for my open reel machine.

I don't think I've ever seen those as a off-the-shelf item, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

I use Google Images to search for obscure stuff. In this case, I think the hard part will be finding them with a bottom for screw head to bear on, but maybe something can be adapted:

I have to admit you've got me curious, because they do look useful. Sometimes the key is figuring out what something is actually called. I'll hunt some more.
