I started out years ago with a Ruby, a 23r

Way back when (early '80s) I heard both 23R "Ruby" and 17D "Diamond" side by side at local dealer. 23R had ruby cantilever; 17D had diamond cantilever. Prices were ~$450 for 23R and ~$800 for 17D. My recollection was 23R was livelier and 17D was politer. I preferred the ruby. This was 30+ years ago. IIRC caveat applies doubly.

/mp- that seems about right... Boy, long time ago...

Alan, belts on which? Yours? Yes, they stretch out like anything else over time....

If only Opera could make rubber/synthetic belts for the newer WTL's we'd have a turnkey product... well, the cheap lil motors could be revamped as well... Wishful thinking....
