BDA-3.14 doesn’t recognise SSD drive anymore
« on: 19 Jun 2023, 02:13 pm »
Hello James,

From time to time, I copy new music to my SSD. This drive is connected to one of the USB ports at the back of the BDA-3.14. After reconnecting the drive to the BDA-3.14 it wouldn’t play any music because the SSD was no longer recognized!? The BDA-3.14 has the latest firmware, and Radio Paradise worked fine.

I tried the usual tricks, restarting, resetting to default, rebuilding the database, etc. There is nothing wrong with the SSD because I still can see all my music files after I connect the drive to my computer.

Can you tell me what is going on here and more important, how can I solve this problem?

Many thanks,

WillyP

James, thanks for your prompt reply. It seems I have found a workaround. After I renamed the SSD and restructured the music files, Manic Moose began to rebuild the library. A restart (again) was necessary, but then there was music!

From time to time, my NDA-314 has these issues. I have no idea if they are software related or if my unit is faulty, but it is very frustrating.

I will ask Chris about this.
