quick question Tx102 wires
« on: 27 Jul 2006, 01:06 am »
Hi John,

sorry for the basic question, can you confirm which wire is the output ground, is it the all black wire or the wire that looks just like all the others but has NO little label with a number?
Thanks
Paba

Hello!

I am on my  way back frrom a short trip. Typing on an i-net trminal from hell at LAX...More details tomorrow and reply's to the other recent posts. Did not waant to leave you hanging on the wiring question!

S&B has  changed wire colors quite a bit (actually constantly...) so I'll do my best to describe the wires.

The wire that is not marked and is the same color as all the output wires is the gnd (or pin3 for xlr) side of the secondary

The unmarked wire that is a differrent color than the rest is an internal screen wire and should be connected to the central ground point.

For RCA only systems both these wires connect to output ground so you don't need to distinguish between them.

Let me know if that helped!

Thanks!

John

Thank you John,
helpful as always... exactly what I needed, I've had the parts for close to 2 years and I'm finally puting it together.
