Input selector and phase
« on: 3 Dec 2004, 08:32 pm »
Greetings,

I've got the 102 MkIII's and shallco switch(bought from Bent for do-it-myself use).  I recently got the idea I'd like to be able to switch phase on the input of the TVC. Seems to me that a 2p/6t rotary switch could be used for the input selector switch(mono) and allow selecting 3 inputs and their inverting phase; ie., input 1, inverted input 1, input 2, inverted input 2........etc. Just using RCA's at this point.

I've searched some and haven't seen anyone doing this. So... was wondering if it is this simple or am I missing something that wouldn't allow switching phase in this manner?? I hope this question doesn't have too many of you rolling on the floor.

Thanks,

scottw

Hello!

It is a good question! This kind of switching arrangement for phase has been mentioned and will work just fine. It is nice since it does not add any additional contacts to the signal path like a phase toggle does.

Thanks!

Thanks for the prompt reply John.

"It is nice since it does not add any additional contacts to the signal path like a phase toggle does. "

Exactly my thought.

Thanks,
