RM 30C:
The upgrade is much easier if your cabinets have the cutouts and grills for the side firing woofers. If not, and you want to do the upgrade, you must cut 9" dia holes in the sides of the cabinets facing the side walls. Locate the hole as close to the back edge and the bottom of the cabinet as possible.
With the side cutout present, remove the grill (it's pressure fit in place) and gently knock out the MDF plugs sealing the hole. Take the base off the bottom of the cabinet and unscrew/remove the two 6" passives. Remove the damping material in the bottom part of the enclosure. Plug the holes with the MDF squares provided in the upgrade kit, from the inside, through the cutout for the 10" driver.. Hotmelt glue makes this task quick. Put the base back on when finished. Then install the 10" PR in the side cutout, but don't cover with the grill yet. Complete the upgrade by installing the Gen II CDWG's on the mid panels and tweeter.
Once both PR's are installed, the old PR's removed and holes plugged, do setup with the "Putty Pinching" described on the sticky below. Reinstall the grills.
