Song3-A's in dark green quilted maple

Everett liked some of the speakers we recently produced in electric blue over quilted maple.  But he wondered if we could do the same thing but in green.  Naturally, the answer was "yes."

These were very difficult to photograph, but here are some pictures of the results...

And a close-up...

Everett's home was damaged in hurricane Harvey and is currently being repaired.  Once he is able to move back into his home, we will ship them.  But I thought you might enjoy seeing them none-the-less.

Happy (future) listening Everett!

So beautiful. Such incredible craftsmanship.

If you haven't packed them up yet can you take a video with proper lighting on them to show the depth?

I would try, but they are already packed and ready to ship.

Geez. I'm not normally moved by green speakers, but this pair is amazing. Are you certain you didn't use a glow in the dark paint?

They are definitely beautiful. But, my god, speakers are supposed to look like wood not car paint!!!  :nono:

Great finish, I have a Paul Reed Smith guitar with a 10 top (highest level of finish) that looks almost the same.

Funny you should mention this.  Our "double-dye" finish over quilted maple was the result of looking at PRS guitars and trying to figure out how they accomplish their incredible finishes.  This was many years ago, but was the main inspiration for this type of finish.

Very cool, I just visited their site: https://www.prsguitars.com/index.php/blog/post/creating_private_stock_stain_colors

While my tastes are pretty traditional and my Encores might be on the boring side to some, I am still awed by the creativity and craftsmanship that these guys (and the team at Salk) put into some of these creations... they are true works of art

They do look stunning! I wonder what the decor of the room they're going to end up looks like, haha.
