hdtracks: did i do something wrong?
« on: 20 Apr 2010, 02:02 am »
just got my squeezebox touch and wanted to try the 96/24 playback. so i went to my copy of "raising sand" that i downloaded in flac a long time ago from HD tracks as an experiment to see if i liked it. when i popped it into my computer to download into squeezebox, it rejected it. i opened the downloaded files to look at them and instead of flac they are listed as BUP, IFO and AOB files? do these need to be/can they be converted to flac? i realize these are dvd files, why do they have it in this format?

HDtracks only sells the 24/96 Raising Sand in FLAC.  You must be looking at some other files, or tried to burn the FLAC files to your dvd player at some point.  The file extensions you listed are DVD video and audio folder extensions, like menus (IFO) and MPEG streams (AOB).  You need to simply find the original sound files (FLAC).
