Steve, would this make sense for someone using your Turbo2 ... in JRiver that device automatically loads a driver with an Empirical Audio label/descriptor ... would the approach offered via this posting be better than that?

According to Microsoft, since the Off-Ramp provides 24/44.1 not 16/44.1, this is bit-perfect anyway. 

Might be worth a try though.  Never can tell what Microsoft S/W is doing.
