Baffle Step Comp.

Did the 160hz xover freq. have anything to do with eliminating the need for baffle step compensation. If so, was there a noticeable improvement in the power response vs going to a higher xover freq.

Also, during development why was a closed box first considered then out of the blue it went ported.

What is the woofer?
Sealed boxes have to be much bigger than BR.

The speaker's measured performance generally indicates a well-balanced design.
And again I must point out that excellent cumulative spectral-decay plot.
It is uncommon to see a large, affordable tower speaker with so clean an initial decay.
