Is the 1khz test tone pure DSD or is it upsampled from PCM?  A DAC manufacturing partner of our NativeDSD website needs to know.  They need a pure native DSF 1khz tone.  Thanks

It's upsampled records from PCM 176400 kHz.

Technically no difference upsampled it or generated native (at sampling rate D64/D128) in DSF. Quality of DSF result we can control by levels of aliases after DSF to PCM conversion.

Peak levels of aliases (noise) we can watch in description of each record at link in first post. For D128 we have -174 dB (after conversion DSF sample file to PCM via AuI ConverteR 48x44). This level noise vary by DSF to PCM converter.

Hi Ted,

I think now about creation of (while non-realtime) generator of files PCM/DSF.
It will generate signal at native DSD frequency 2.8/5.6 MHz.
How you think it demanded idea or not?
What types of signals need?

Best regards,
Yuri

Ted, recall my mail from April 2013 below? The Penatatone 2 SACD has this. Just rip the Sacd and you can get access to it. (Not the isoMike disks).

"i was going by the name, but its just music. The Pentatone 2 has it...hopefully not just in M-Channel."

Norman, yes but they are just pink noise and multichannel only.  Thanks, though.
