Introduction from Canada
« on: 2 May 2022, 12:48 am »
Good evening.

First thank you to all the people who make this happen.

This is a massive effort and by what I've read and seen, incredibly well done.

I would like to introduce myself briefly and hopefully not bore you too much?

I'm a lifelong audio person.

I came from a musical family with music being played in our home day and night, music being played in the community every weekend and at celebrations, instruments being repaired and made within the household, electronics, speakers and recording equipment being used and made and infinite experiments being conducted with ""all of the above."

My age at this point gives me 45 years as a "techno -weenie" working to make a living in mostly industrial controls and process engineering with stops along engineering and maintenance supervision and management.

I have for the past 10 years  run a recording studio to support the local artists with recording (live events as well), mixing and mastering services.

I also provide consultation on acoustic environments including troubleshooting.

My drive is the perpetual loop of improved recordings and playback for better and better enjoyment of music.

I hope you aren't asleep by now?

Thanks for letting me share this Audio Circle.

Most sincerely,

Thomas Althouse
