Off to Denver for RMAF 2011!!!
« on: 12 Oct 2011, 01:53 am »
All,

Leaving tomorrow for RMAF.  The Liliana Monoblocks will be there, along with the Signature 15 Integrated, Corvina headphone amp (downstairs at the ALO Audio table at CanJam), and our new CD Transport 1 (CD-T1)...

Please stop over at Room 1009 to say hi and give a listen - looking forward to seeing both new and old faces at the show!

I'll be sure to post pics and links during and after the show.  I've posted some teasers on our facebook page.

Also - don't forget to "like" us there or sign up on our email list:
http://redwineaudio.com/about/mailinglist

in order to get our latest product info, links, special offers when they become available and to stay connected (but "unplugged" )

I'll do my best to keep up with emails, but expect delays during the show and next week will be catch-up time.   :banghead:

Been crazy busy and I want to thank everyone for your continued interest
and support.

Cheers!

Vinnie

I'm with Chris, I thought the new amps that Vinnie is coming out with were sweet and no question this was the best I've heard his gear at a show and as always Vinnie was a great host.  :thumb:

How does the RWA set up with Liliana compared to other high end rigs?

How does the RWA set up with Liliana compared to other high end rigs?

Since it's battery powered...it's quiet.

Also....it has the watts to power more speakers...and that's a good thing.

This was Vinnie's "prototype"....I believe he said...ready for sale in about a month.

Quote
At 100wpc RMS into 8-ohms (200wpc into 4-ohms), Liliana is the first commercially produced battery-powered amplifier to unite “iron-fisted” high-current FET output with a “velvet glove” warmth and character only found in vacuum tubes.

I'm sure he'll post more about it. :thumb:

All,

Got back from RAMF late last night.  Excellent show - I don't know where to begin!  I'll post more soon, but for starters:

-- Thanks to LoneWolf for stopping by and bringing a NYAR mix CD that had excellent tracks on it, including his favorite to get the room jumping (ZZ Top La Grange)!

-- It was great to meet Pez and Tyson.  They were checking out various rooms and had a demo track with a few cuts of good music from Ani DeFranco, Tool, Mahler, and another track or two.  There were switching places listening and blogging on the spot.  I just gave them the remote and told them to have fun, and they great to talk to.  These guys put in a lot of hard work.  You can see their post here:
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=99215.msg1002788#msg1002788

But do check out their coverage of all 3 days of the show in the RMAF circle.  Great pics, honest feedback (which I appreciated) - I told them they need to set up a paypal donation link for all their work.  8)

-- As always, it was great to see so many familiar faces.  As Lonewolf and mgalusha mentioned, many mentioned to us that RMAF 2011 was our best sounding room compared to our other shows we done in the past.  Cheers!

-- Thanks to all the members of the press who came by to listen and post on their blogs.  As I (or anyone else) finds links to coverage from the press or anyone who came to listen and posted pics, please post them in this thread!  :notworthy:

-- Big thanks to all of you who brought in YOUR favorite music to listen to.  Via CD, USB stick, iPod (connected to a digital dock to feed our dac), or your iPad or laptop... I love it and wish more attendees would bring some of their music that they want to listen to.  Hearing your large variety of favorites made the room stand out with music that is NOT "played-out" during these shows. I took notes regarding new music (to me) that I enjoyed listening to, so I'm ready to buy some albums and hope others are as well!

-- To all those new to Red Wine Audio, I enjoyed meeting and speaking with you and thanks for coming over to listen.

-- Then there was John Darko of www.digitalaudioreview.net.au , who flew over all the way from Australia to cover the show.  It was a pleasure to meet him in person, and he brought music that begged to be played loud.  :thumb:

-- I wish I was able to spend time in the CanJam room, but thanks to Alex of Audeze, Ken of ALO Audio, and Eric of Sennheiser for showing off our Audeze Edition, Corvina, and Isabellina HPA (respectively) at their tables!

Okay - so now I'm buried in emails and voicemails.  I'll working away at them, and will get back to you ASAP.  I appreciate your patience.

The Room - nice and simple the way I like it to be:

The Signature 15 Integrated on top, and the upcoming Liliana Monoblocks on the bottom:

I had to get a shot with Lonewolf - it has been a while!  :thumb:

From Michael Lavorgna's all-new www.audiostream.com website!

http://www.audiostream.com/content/red-wine-audio

Quote from: M.Lavorgna
The remainder of the Red Wine RMAF system was comprised of the Signature 15 integrated amp (starting at $1,500) that uses a 6922/E88CC dual triode in the preamp stage and a Class A/B FET output stage for 15W into 8ohms driving the WLM La Scala monitors ($4,500/pair). The sound was clean, nimble and quick.

$4500/pair La Scala monitor speakers. Great tone, 8ohm, 40Hz-25kHz, 91dB efficiency. Impeccable fit and finish. Honestly, the sound in this room was easy, rich, detailed and extraordinarily pleasant — which, while not exactly a surprise, as this is the Red Wine trademark sound — was a happy refuge in the surging sea of noise that is RMAF.

Thanks, Scot!  Love the pics (except the dorky one of me smiling  :green:) and all the detailed info of the components.

Much appreciated!

The system featured has all the earmarks of fine in-room music to me.  Wishing you all the best, Vin.

Thank you,

Hi Paul,

Thanks - just found it:

Quote from:  "Paul Mah / www.stereotimes.com"
Red Wine Audio is known for battery-powered audio components. Mr. Red Wine himself, Vinnie Rossi (get it?), debut several new products at RMAF. For the budget conscious, the new Signature 15 (15 watts at 8 ohms) integrated amp featuring LifFePO4 battery technology retails for $1,500. For those desiring more power, the new Liliana monoblock amps at 100 wpc @ 8 ohms (200 wpc @ 4 ohms) should do the trick. Wow, 100 wpc from a battery pack. Now that’s news. Pair with the WLM La Scala loudspeakers from Austria which Red Wine imports, the sound from the system was warm, tonally rich and powerful. My critique of the lack of dynamics from Red Wine amps in the past is now laid to rest. Pricing for the monoblocks is $5,600 for the pair until the end of this year, then $6,000 thereafter. Both the Signature 15 and Liliana have tube input stages to add some warmth to the sonics.

This was our best RMAF - and I'm already looking forward to RMAF 2012!  8)

Vinnie
